Charter of Iranian Students Society of TU Delft (ISSTUD)

1 Name and logo
- The name of the society is “Iranian Students Society of TU Delft”. The abbreviation is ISSTUD which can be used to refer to the society. The members are Iranian students, researchers, employees and alumni of TU Delft.
2 Mission and aim
Aims of ISSTUD are to:
- Inform, support and assist Iranian students in educational and general affairs through Internet websites or weblogs, publishing newsletters and/or magazines.
- Organize Iranian social events and celebrations.
- Aid organizing different committees such as sport committee, art committee, socio-political committee, entertainment committee, scientific committee, litreature committee, etc.
- Establish the communication and collaboration with TU Delft authorities regarding to Iranian students issues.
3 Organization of the Society
- The main board of the society would be elected in a public announced election among Iranian students. The election would be held each semester in which seven persons as the main members and two alternate board members are elected.
- In the first meeting of the new elected board, a secretary, secretary deputy and administrative assistant of ISSTUD are elected among the board members.
- Iranian students of TU Delft are notified of the time, place and agenda of the election gathering beforehand by the incumbent main board.
3.1 The Main Board responsibilities
- Directs the activities of the society.
- Decides about the necessary changes in the statute of ISSTUD.
- Facilitate creating and organizing committees.
- Establishes the collaboration/cooperation with other student societies.
- Organizes meetings, events and elections.
4 Finance and properties of Society
The society financial sources are provided by students’ and scholars’ donations and the financial support by TU Delft.
5 Start of the society activity
The first election gathering of ISSTUD was on 29 September 2009 in TBM faculty Zaal A (Following picture). Iranian students of TU Delft attended the first election and elected seven main board and two alternate board members.
